Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens wins at the IDMA Ceremony in Miami
Oliver Heldens has been rewarded with an award during the International Dance Music Awards. The Dutch DJ saw himself receive the award for Best Breaktrough artist during a festive ceremony, Thursday evening on Miami Beach.
This night’s IDMA win is yet another highlight of what seems to be the start of an enormous year for Oliver Heldens. After scoring huge hits in 2014 with his singles ‘Gecko’ and ‘Koala’, 2015 started with the nomination for an EMPO Award as well as an international tour taking him through Europe, South and North America.
During the WMC the Dutchman is definitely proving to be one of the most honored guests, playing a headline slot at Spinnin’ Sessions earlier this week, performing at the much lauded Ultra Music Festival on Friday as well as starring at his own (completely soldout) Heldeep Pool Party, this Saturday at the Delano Beach Club.
Tonight also saw him present an IDMA for Best Group to Galantis. For sure, Oliver Heldens and his critically acclaimed deep house sound is setting the tone for the future.
