With the release of ‘Fools Paradise’ the Dutch DJ/MC trio Dirtcaps and Dutch female singer Rochelle prove that they know what today’s international audience is looking for in EDM music. The combination of trap with electro house sounds, using Rochelle’s warm, but refreshing voice, makes the track a steady follow up in her featuring in ‘Shotgun’ with Yellow Claw. In the video Rochelle and her dancers are featured in an apocalyptic ‘Paradise’ which reflects on the raw yet worldwide accepted sound which the young producers created for the song.
Dirtcaps is part of a select group of artists who can proudly say that they’ve taken the house sound to a higher level. Not only do they play out all kinds of genres in their sets, but they produce their own tracks as well. Dirtcaps mainly exceeds in playing their own productions.
This makes Dirtcaps strong, independent and unique. They never stop producing fresh, new tracks and spend their time in the studio whenever possible. In 2012 their breakthrough track ‘Money on My Mind’ came out in collaboration with The Million Plan. Their videos on YouTube have a few hits short of a million, and are hitting over several million views combined. With their last Dutch release ‘Miljoenen’ they also knew how to move the Dutch public with more than 1 million views within a very short time. With the release ‘Fools Paradise’ they make a steady cross over to their international career, which is of course not the only thing they have been occupied with. At the moment they are working together with Yellow Claw and Carnage on a new EP, and there is much more coming up.
Rochelle is a Dutch female singer unlike any other our country has seen before. At the age of 18, she won the 2011 X-Factor competition, and her subsequent single, a cover of Jordin Sparks’ “No Air”, peaked at number 1 in the Dutch Top 100 charts. Her release with Yellow Claw ‘Shotgun’, Rochelle’s biggest exploit so far, is still going strong around the world, with a current Youtube count of more than 50 million views. Early 2015 Rochelle collaborates with Lady Bee and together they release ‘Return Of The Mack’, a cover of Mark Morrisons hit from 1996. Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens did a remix, which was picked up by Sirius XM in the US. Currently Rochelle is also working on new material to be released through her new home base label Young Elephants.

‘Fools Paradise’ was signed on the Amsterdam based Record Label Young Elephants. The label represents promising and successful music artists in the international music industry. Young Elephants focusses on music coming from different influences which are electronic (dance) music based to be crossed with all kinds of music styles. ‘Fools Paradise’ is now only available on Spotify and iTunes.
