ALDA Events takes over AMF!

ALDA has officially taken 100% control of AMF (Amsterdam Music Festival). This means that the partnership with ID&T has been terminated. The past years both parties have grown the brand of AMF to become one of the leading ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) events and the traditional closing of ADE week for many people.

Five years ago ALDA and ID&T joined forces for the very first edition of AMF. The idea came to reality with the goal to celebrate 20 years of electronic dance music in the Netherlands with a unique music-festival. After a succesful first edition the RAI in Amsterdam clearly wasn’t big enough and the event moved to the Johan Cruijff Arena, at which about 40.000 visitors come to party every year. The festival is known for its spectacular stage-design and programming the best known DJ’s of the world. In addition to that there’s the crowning of the ‘official’ number 1 DJ of the world in collaboration with leading British magazine DJ MAG.

Director Allan Hardenberg of ALDA: ”We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved with AMF in the past years. Now it’s time for the next phase and we’ll be developing the AMF-brand further with partners who’ve been contributing to make AMF a success and other ALDA brands.”

Directeur Edo van Duyn of ID&T: ”We look back at a nice adventure, in which we’ve made AMF an event with international praise together. We’re happy to have been able to make this deal with ALDA. In addition to our current portfolio of succesful festivals, ID&T will be focusing on new (international) projects.”

20 October at the Johan Cruijff ArenA

Saturday 20th October will be AMF’s date this year. Visitors can get ready for the indoor festival of the year. Besides a sick line-up and the award-show AMF will have a whole lot more in store..
