The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), world’s biggest club-festival and the most important business platform for electronic music, takes place this year from 18th till 22nd October 2017. The organization expects for the 22nd edition about 375.000 visitors from the Netherlands and foreign countries.
The ADE, an initiative of Buma, has been grown massively in the recent years; the event welcomed about 2200 artists and 550 speakers at a record number of 140 locations in 2016.
“During ADE Amsterdam is the nursery of cultural and technological innovation. It’s great to see that thousands of professionals and lovers of the scene from the Netherlands and beyond spend more and more time in the city” commented director Richard Zijlsma.
Besides the extensive night-program the huge day-program is becoming increasingly popular every year. The organization aims for further growth of the day- and evening-activities, amongst which by connecting with upcoming and established cultural instances and new partners this year.
Next to the event in Amsterdam, there are once again international activities on the agenda this year, amongst which an extensive program at Mumbai and showcases at SXSW in Austin.
Zijlsma: “The creative industry in the Netherlands is highly regarded and represents currently, partly thanks to the dance-sector, an estimated export-value of several billions. With our international activities, we want to stimulate this even more and be a springboard for Dutch talent.”
The Amsterdam Dance Event takes place from 18th till 22nd October 2017.
ADE Global Sessions Mumbai takes place from 23rd till 25th February 2017.
