Each city had its own color with a specific design which especially in the evening gave a special effect. In Amsterdam red & the typical houses, in Eindhoven white & an industrial Flying Dutch look & Rotterdam, as you could expect, the stage design looked like a ship.
Worldwide fans could check out the livestream which resulted in over 250.000 viewers from no less than 166 countries! Live sets, interview & helicopters were shown in the livestream. The Flying Dutch is an initiative of John Ewbank & ALDA Events, 2 big brands in the music industry, who joined forces under the name ‘House of Orange’. With The Flying Dutch they build a platfrom that offers opportunities & inspiration to new talent & established names focused on Fashion, Art & Design and Music. This was noticeable on all three locations. For example next to music also artgalleries were present with especially for The Flying Dutch designed Art, Design & Fashion objects of young Dutch talents or brands.
Presenting partner ING is also very proud of the collaboration. Joyce Hulst, Marketing manager: ”We are proud to have put together with House of Orange such a successful first edition of The Flying Dutch & happy about the positive reactions of the fans. The 10 Dutch DJ’s have shown during this event that with talent & will-power you can make your dreams come true & have inspirated many fans with that and gave them a unique day. We’re happy to have been a part of it.”
