“Something ground breaking will happen next year”

Last week, Q-dance announced their new New Year’s Eve concept called “WOW WOW”. This concept is all about the best moments of 2018 and the upcoming highlights of 2019. Since WOW WOW is a new concept, the Q-dance editorial team decided to do an interview with Rogier Werver and Jonas Schmidt, the lead creatives at Q-dance, to discuss the brand-new aspects of it.

In this interview, Rogier Werver and Jonas Schmidt talk about what people can expect at WOW WOW, as well as from Q-dance next year. They talk about creating the ‘home of hardstyle’ in 2019, something big and permanent that has never been done before by Q-dance. More information about it will be revealed on December 31 during WOW WOW in the ZIggo Dome in Amsterdam.

“One of the things we’ll be doing next year is ‘infecting’ new countries with the hardstyle virus, bringing the Q-dance experience to never before seen places. And of course…Defqon.1 Weekend Festival 3.0. A monumental change.”

The line-up for WOW WOW hasn’t been announced yet, but the first three artists have already been revealed in the interview by Rogier Werver and Jonas Schmidt. In the interview, they tell that the anthem makers of QAPITAL and Q-BASE (Phuture Noize and Atmozfears) will return, as well as the 2018 X-Qlusive DJ (Frequencerz). They also reveal that the creators of the Defqon.1 Weekend Festival 2019 anthem will be announced at WOW WOW, one of the many surprises that they have in store for us during New Year’s Eve.

“80% of the event is an amazing 2018 throwback, while 20% consists of intense surprises that you will never see coming.”
