On May 27th is was time of one our favorite festivals, 7th Sunday Festival. This year theme was the Colorful Seven. With thirteen stages there is a stage for everyone. This year we were able to enjoy acts like Ingrosso, Steve Aoki, Joris Voorn and Sick Individuals.

Lots of choices

It took us a little longer than we expected to arrive at the festival site, instead of 1.5 hour it was a three hour road trip. With the sun shining bright, we’re ready to have a great festival day.
Last couple of years Hardwell’s label Revealed Recording hosted a stage at 7th Sunday and they’re back this year. When we enter the Revealed Recordings tent Kaaze is behind the decks, he obviously has a lot of fans in the Netherlands. He plays a lot of his own music, when he plays his most familiar song ‘We are Legends’ a collab together with Hardwell the whole crowd sings along with it. After Kaaze it’s time to enjoy some music outside in the sun.  Roog is playing a classic house set at the High, a stage hidden between the trees. It’s funny to see that the average age at this stage is older than at the other stages.  After Roog’s set it’s time to eat something. 7th Sunday is more then just a music festival. For people who wants to eat healthy there is a healthy area, there are food trucks, there is fish, and the standard festival food. They even thought about special beers and wines. But I did miss the vodka Redbull at the bar. If you want to do something else then to eat, drink or party you can play a huge version of beer pong or do some of the fair attractions.

Amazing acts

After we had some delicious food it’s time for some techno with the one and only Joris Voorn. The whole tent is filled with techno lovers who are dancing on every song he’s playing. We love Joris Voorn his set but on the mainstage it’s time for another good artist to start his set. The tropical beats of Sam Feldt are blasting over the mainstage. This time Sam Feldt brought a live band with him. In it are a guitarist, a trumpeter and a saxophonist. The combo of Sam Feldt and his band is amazing, they are giving an extra dimension to his already great songs. During his set the organization threw some huge beach balls into the crowd. It probably looks good, but at some point the crowd is more busy with those balls then with Sam Feldt behind the decks.

Perfect festival closing

The next artist Steve Aoki is not really our cup of tea so we’re heading back to place we started the festival, the Revealed stage. The stage is not that busy while Julian Jordan is playing a good set. The next artist on the Reaveled Stage is Sick Individuals. These guys are familiar faces at the Revealed Recording stages worldwide. The fans can sing along with there songs like I AM together with Axwell and People we love. They also surprise us with some new Sick Individuals songs.
We close our day at the mainstage. Because after Showtek, who finished their set with some massive hardstyle tunes, it’s time for the headliner of the festival, the one and only Ingrosso. It’s not the most surprising set of the day but it’s the perfect set to close this festival. All songs his name is attached to turn into huge hits. With glowsticks and song like Reload and Sun is Shining the crowd is going crazy for one last time. The perfect closing of a perfect day.

7th Sunday is the complete package. Many different stage and genres, a good vibe and great food. It’s easy to enjoy yourself the whole day at 7th Sunday. We’re sure we’ll be back next year!
