RECORDED LIVE AT BOOTSHAUS, COLOGNE, GERMANY
Back in December, Danny Avila gave a mind-blowing 8-hour long continuous performance at the ‘DJ Mag Top100 Club’ and one of Europe’s most prestigious venues, Bootshaus in Cologne, Germany. The event was set up in collaboration with European Festival Awards’ ‘Best New Festival 2015’ winner Parookaville. Danny’s prolific extended set travelled through the deepest parts of tech house and techno; genres that Danny Avila grew up and made his first dj experiences with. His idea of covering a full night with these genres gave the audience the exceptional chance to experience Danny Avila’s sophisticated musical knowledge and unparalleled creativity on the decks.
His affinity to the deeper sides of electronic dance music has been omnipresent ever since Danny started touring with his ground-breaking MORE concept. With MORE, Avila takes his listeners on a journey through all kinds of electronic music genres. Danny took to the decks what the majority of DJs would never mix, skillfully arranged to a profound mix, which only few clubs were lucky enough to experience. “There are no boundaries in MORE”, the young Spaniard said “it’s my personal musical history and everything that came with it”. A perfect example for this was Danny Avila’s guestmix at the DJ Mag headquarters in London, UK earlier this month.
