It’s all love from Amsterdam – Alpharock sends his regards with new single ‘FAWL’
After weeks of ID, animated contests, a Tiësto teaser here and Nicky Romero reveal there, today is finally the day: the release of Alpharock’s new single ‘FAWL’.
It’s been quite the ride with this particular record. Ever since Tiësto premiered the track in his radio show it gained more and more support from the global DJ family, guys like Avicii, Martin Garrix, Afrojack, W&W, Quintino and Firebeatz blasting it from stages. As it goes with an ID track, the buzz around ‘FAWL’ got big, nobody knowing what it meant or who was behind it.
Recently, a contest was launched where you could spot the producer from a cartoon, a postcard saying ‘From Amsterdam With Love’, revealing the track’s title and presenting the producer among many other animated DJs (while also getting the chance to win several prizes, including a vinyl copy of ‘FAWL’). Yeah, a comic game of ‘Where’s Waldo?’ for the DJ scene..
Then Nicky Romero revealed in his radio show it was none other than Alpharock who was behind this track. The upcoming Dutch DJ has been making huge waves for the last year, starting with his highly acclaimed single ‘Drop The Guns’ which was made big thanks to the early support of fellow Dutchman Martin Garrix. With tracks like ‘Get Wild’, ‘Pump This Party’ and the Vida collab ‘Knives’ that followed, Alpharock is by now a recognized name on mainstages everywhere.
The buzz and responses surrounding ‘FAWL’ underline his definite breakthrough. This is next level electro music Alpharock style, blending string chords and cool vocal sounds with a straight up electro melody. From then on it’s all energy unleashed, leaving any audience defenseless.
Mainstage music for summer days, just as Amsterdam is bathing in the sun these days. The video brings it all nicely together, mixing idyllic images of the city with animated DJs from the postcard showing up everywhere, Alpharock making his appearance in every shot –the game of ‘Where’s Waldo?’ continues!
