AMSTERDAM MUSIC FESTIVAL MAKES THE WORLD DANCE AGAINST AIDS

From this year on Amsterdam Music Festival embraces dance4life as their charity. By doing this they want to mobilize revelers from all over the world to take action against AIDS. During Amsterdam Music Festival  on October 16 and 17, this year spread over two days during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), tens of thousands of visitors from over 91 countries are expected.

Through the universal language of dance, dance4life inspires and educates young people to push back the spread of HIV and AIDS. Amsterdam Music Festival and dance4life both believe in the positive power of dance, uniting people from all over the world. Amsterdam Music Festival supports dance4life by donating 50 cents from every ticket sold.

Festival visitors take action
In addition to Amsterdam Music Festival´s donation, visitors are invited to do something for dance4life as well. When buying a ticket for the festival, they can make an additional donation to dance4life. By doing this they have a chance of winning a VIP upgrade.

Marketing Director Chantal Musquetier of ALDA Events, co-organizer of the Amsterdam Music Festival, says: “Amsterdam Music Festival and dance4life are a great match. Both dance4life and Amsterdam Music Festival reach many young people across the world. By joining forces, we come one step closer to a world without AIDS.”

In 2013, ALDA Events and ID&T organized the first edition of the Amsterdam Music Festival, which became a huge success during the Amsterdam Dance Event. Now, two years later, Amsterdam Music Festival is a grand spectacle, with tens of thousands of people from over 91 countries enjoying two days with the best DJs in the world.

dance4life
It is dance4life’s mission to bring an end to AIDS. The organization does this by empowering and educating young people, using the power of music and dance. The (Dutch) initiative is active in almost 20 countries, spread over 5 continents.
